Journal and planner where you dump every open thought into one place and Claude sorts it into life-category tabs. Built on Next.js and Supabase with five Zustand stores, so components never query the database directly. Row Level Security covers all 9 tables, the AI sorter falls back to keyword matching when no API key is set, and a service worker keeps it usable offline.
Replays past Formula 1 races on real circuit maps and tells you when each driver should pit. Celery workers pull OpenF1 telemetry, compute stint pace and tire wear, and prebuild replay files behind a FastAPI API. The React viewer plays 250 ms position frames at 60 fps, using binary search for per-driver lookups.
Backend that turns raw job postings into typed database records. FastAPI accepts a posting and returns a job ID right away, a Celery worker calls the Anthropic API with tool use to extract structured fields, and Postgres stays the single source of truth for job status. Runs with one Docker Compose command and has CI on GitHub Actions.
Upload a photo of a text-only menu and get a picture for every dish. EasyOCR reads the text and its bounding boxes, a text-height rule separates dish names from descriptions and drops prices, and each dish was sent to an image generation API.
Daily habit journal for learning, exercise, and mindfulness. React and Vite on the front end, Firebase Auth (email or Google) and Firestore with real-time listeners on the back end. Friends can send encouragement through a shareable link without signing up. Installable as a PWA.
Monthly budget tracker you install like an app. No account and no server: data lives in IndexedDB on your device, a service worker makes it work offline, and recurring rules (weekly to yearly) fill in any missed entries when you open it. Charts with Chart.js, JSON backup and restore.

Pocket-sized Bluetooth remote that skips to the next or previous song on a phone. I built it for a 2007 car that has no Bluetooth audio control. Two buttons send standard BLE media commands from a Seeed XIAO nRF52840, an RGB LED shows battery level, and a slide switch wired in line with the battery cuts power completely when it is off.
Data logger on an ESP32-S2 that samples an IMU, a temperature and humidity sensor, and a light sensor on fixed schedules and writes timestamped records to an SD card. Separate FreeRTOS tasks handle sampling, logging, and the display, and queues keep a slow SD write from delaying a sample. I tested timing jitter and latency limits by injecting hardware faults.
Two-wheel rover on an ESP32-S2 that holds a steady speed on each wheel and drives straight. Encoder interrupts feed a PI controller on each wheel, with feedforward to correct for motor mismatch and battery sag, and a BNO055 gyro holds heading. It runs at about 60 RPM per wheel under load with no brownouts.
Battery-powered car that drives from spoken commands. A mic, op-amp buffer, and filters on a 2.5 V virtual ground feed the ADC, a PCA classifier on the Arduino picks one of four commands, and encoder feedback keeps the wheels in sync. I hand-calculated the filter values and fit a motor model from measured data to set the controller. Built for UC Berkeley EECS 16B.
Payload for a model rocket built around an ESP32-S2. It logs temperature, humidity, and gyroscope data to an SD card during flight, and an onboard display runs a sensor check before launch. I designed the 3D-printed mount that protects the electronics, then used the logged data to reconstruct the flight path.
Autonomous rover prototype I built as the sole developer in a 10-person NASA engineering cohort. Bare-metal C++ firmware reads IR and ultrasonic proximity sensors over I2C, SPI, and GPIO, and an interrupt-driven state machine chooses the route. It made the correct decision 95% of the time.
